Today, Welshpool was once again the focus of the campaign. I spent the morning at the new Welshpool Livestock Market talking to farmers and their families about the issues that affect them. My life was made very easy from the fact that they all seem to love Elin Jones, the Plaid Minister for Rural Affairs, and respect the work she's done on their behalf. I had a number of people tell me that they'd be voting Plaid for the first time in this election - something which is always lovely to hear!

In the afternoon, I then went round canvassing with members of the Plaid team. It was great to meet people and get their views on a number of issues. A lot were surprised to see a youngish female as a candidate - think they expect all politicians to be middle aged men in suits - but the response was positive. Hopefully that will translate into votes on the big day!
